There are two types of electric control locks. One is solenoid-driven and called electromagnetic lock (also called solenoid lock). The other is motor-driven, called motor lock, compared to the electromagnetic lock it is more stable and lower power consumption.
Solenoid locks are available in 12V and 24V voltage specifications, small in size, light in weight and usually made of stainless steel. The working principle is power on and unlock. Adopt the working mode of closing the door (power off) to lock and power on (12v) to trigger the unlock instantly. Working life up to 100,000 times. With mechanical emergency lever, can be unlocked manually in case of power failure.
Motor locks have a wider range of working voltages than electromagnetic locks. They work in the range of 8V to 24V. We also have a low-voltage version of the lock that works from 3.5V to 8V and a high-voltage version of the lock that works from 23V to 25V. Motor locks are usually larger and heavier than electromagnetic locks. The working principle is signal unlocking and power on unlocking. Working life up to 200,000 times. With mechanical emergency lever, can be unlocked manually in case of power failure. Our motor locks have a door magnetic detection function to check if the cabinet door is closed well. And our motor locks are waterproof, with a waterproof rating of IP66.
