I believe most of you have bought and used smart locks. But have you ever thought about whether it is trustworthy or not? Is smart lock really trustworthy? What do you think?

Advantages of smart locks

There is no denying the advantages of smart locks. Smart locks are usually keyless. So you don't need to carry a keys with you and you don't have to worry about losing it. The smart lock supports multiple unlocking methods, such as rfid card, password, fingerprint , Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. You can even unlock it via your cell phone while you're away. This is something that cannot be done with traditional locks. With normal mechanical locks you will have to take a few minutes to open the door. You also take that much time to close the door. But the smart lock will save you a lot of time. This type of lock only takes about 3- 5s to unlock and you just need to close the door, the latch will close itself. Smart locks have multiple methods of unlocking, and they are more secure than traditional locks.

Disadvantage of smart locks

Everything has two sides. So do smart locks. Smart locks are usually more expensive than normal mechanical locks. Lost phone security risks. If you lose your phone, someone who finds your phone could potentially gain access to your home or business.

Thus, you need to always carry your mobile phone with you.

In general, I think smart locks are trustworthy. They are more convenient and safer than normal mechanical locks.
